New route for the European Middle Distance Triathlon Championship

The medium-distance triathlon reconfigures its circuits in Ibiza to host the European Championship.  The classic reference of swimming, the island of rats, will be approached from the beach D’en Bossa in a single 2-kilometer round. The cycle route will be similar to the traditional one with slight modifications for the link. In the race on foot, the finish line will be in the harbor area, with an incredible view at the entrance to the monumental city and the walled fortress of the city.

D’en Bossa beach is an ideal place for swimming, with a wide range of tourist facilities in its surroundings. It is also the longest beach on the island. The T1 and T2 will be located on the same beach. The bicycle circuit will be two rounds of 45 kilometers with turning point before entering the city of Ibiza. The race on foot will start from the beach towards the center of the city.

Once the triathletes arrive at the Marina of Ibiza, they will start three laps of six kilometers with steps through the area of ​​Dalt Vila, the historic center with World Heritage buildings. The new finish line, in one of the points of more affluence and visibility of Eivissa, will be an unforgettable memory for all the participants that manage to finish the race, the last challenge of the week of Ibiza 2018 European Multisport Championship.
